Locations

Our short film is based around 3 main locations, a front room, a pub and a cab.

We chose our locations carefully to match the story and the visual style we wanted to use. For the front room monolouge scene we used Ali's front room as her sofas are a clean white along with the wall behind them. This keeps a neutral feeling throughout the shot making the audience feel as if Felicitys story is innocent and fun but as the monolouge goes
on the audience start to realise that the reality is the total opposite to what they expected to find out.

For the pub scenes we used a pub in Shirey who in advance we asked if it would be OK to film there, they said yes and we were able to use some drinks and filmed on the bar, on some sofas, in the toilets and outside the pub. we had aimed to film our flash backs and the girls drunken state in the Croydon club Yates. Our plan was to visit all clubs during the day to speak with the managers and explain what we are aiming to achieve and whether they will allow us to film within their premises. In the end we decided to use a pub instead in Shirley which were fine with us filming inside and in their bathrooms.

For the cab we contacted a cab service that was nearby to the pub in Shirley and they allowed us to film as the cab driver just drove up and down the main road outside of the cab's office.

Costume/Props

We carefully thought about costumes for the characters in our short film to wear. For the monolouge scene we asked our actress to wear a white vest top and jeans to be neutral and the total opposite to what we see her wearing in the pub.
